About Phoenix Mental Health Services

Phoenix Mental Health Services is a UK-based private mental health clinic offering consultant-led ADHD assessments and ongoing support for adults. We provide both face-to-face and remote appointments nationwide, with a neuro-affirmative and patient-centred approach. Our pathway includes assessment, medication initiation and titration, ADHD coaching, and ongoing reviews, with support for shared care arrangements. We pride ourselves on transparent pricing, responsive communication, and making the assessment process as accessible and supportive as possible.

Frequently asked questions

Our ADHD assessment package for self-funding patients is currently £1395, this includes the full assessment, diagnosis and initiation of medication with the same consultant. We do offer Klarna payment options, allowing payment in 3 instalments. We also have a pathway for those insured with BUPA.

The assessment process takes place over 3 structured appointments with one of our experienced clinicians. Prior to the assessment, you will complete online questionnaires via our secure platform, ThinkDivergent. You will then be offered two appointments, an initial 50-minute assessment with a Consultant Psychiatrist and a pre-screening with our therapist. At the final appointment, a diagnosis is confirmed (if appropriate) by your consultant, and medication can be initiated immediately where clinically indicated. Note, we do ask you to pay a £50 deposit once you confirm you would like to go ahead, but this fee is deducted from the total cost of assessment.

Appointment availability varies depending on the consultant, but we are typically able to offer ADHD assessments within a few weeks. We are also able to offer all three appointments at once, allowing you to plan accordingly.

Yes. We offer both face-to-face appointments (Buckinghamshire and North West London) and remote consultations across the UK via secure video platform.

If diagnosed with ADHD, we support you through medication titration and stabilisation. There is a fee associated with each follow-up, which is £265 including the prescription fee, and you will only have as many that are medically necessary rather be made to have a set number. You also receive a free 1-hour ADHD coaching session (worth £80), with optional ongoing coaching available and support with navigating government funding opportunities.

Once you are stable on medication, we can request a Shared Care Agreement (SCA) with your NHS GP at no additional cost. If accepted, the GP takes over prescribing under NHS care and you are only required to have an annual review with our GP. If you are unable to get your GP to accept shared care, we do offer our own version.

Medication costs vary depending on the medication prescribed and dosage, but most patients pay approximately £100–£200 per month during the initial stabilisation period.

We have a BUPA pathway in place. However, our understanding is that many BUPA policies no longer cover , although cover can vary between policies. We recommend checking directly with BUPA regarding your level of cover (and whether it includes ADHD (neurodevelopmental) assessments). If not, we do have a seperate process, so please do not worry.

Yes. We offer Klarna payment options, allowing eligible patients to spread the cost of the assessment over 3 instalments.

We communicate primarily via email and phone. Appointment reminders, confirmations, and payment reminders are automated to make the process as smooth as possible.
